Oasis Moon Gallery was created to
showcase our local Bellingen and regional artists
of the mid north coast and northern
rivers..
The artists we represent are extremely
diverse in styles: traditional and contemporary aboriginal art,
abstract, cubism, expressionism, impressionism, symbolism, realism
and surreal.....
as they are in media: oil, acrylic,
water colour, and mixed media.
Our sculptors are equally diverse and
work in ceramics, wood, a variety of metals, glass, and papier-mâché.
The work they produce is of a very high
standard, a number having been invited to work and exhibit overseas.
Major prizes won include the United
Energy art prize, and the prestigious Black prize 2008.
At any one time you will find at Oasis
Moon an eclectic mix of art styles and artists on show, and if there
is something in particular you are looking for, please ask as we may
just be able to help you find it.
As a gallery we are happy to answer any
inquires you may have regarding commissioning art for your home or
for a business space. We have a number of artists who have been
commissioned to work for corporations as well as private homes and
local councils.
We believe the mid north coast is fast
becoming the new art Mecca for New South Wales with Bellingen the hub
- I say this say this with great pride and conviction.
Oasis Moon is part of a large and
creative culture that exists in the Bellinger Valley. We invite you
to come and experience not only the artists, sculptors and potters
but also the many writers, poets, musicians and singers.

Introducing Ben Rongen documentary
maker who dived on and filmed the ancient wreck Sites off the coast
of Malaysia in the South China Sea, Ben is wealth of knowledge
regarding the wreck sites and on a lot of the antiquities found on
the wreaks, He will be available on the 8th & 9th
of Nov to tell his story and will be happy to answer questions any
you may have. There will be a range of artefacts on display, and a
compleat range of jewellery made from porcelain shards hundreds of
years old set in Stirling silver, each piece a part of a fascinating
history. They are more than just a piece of jewellery they are a
story waiting to be told.
Ben will be available to talk to
between 10.30am & 4.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
So please come along and have a look,
an invitation to those ceramic artists who are interested in the
origins of fine porcelain.
