Gail Naden - A direct decendant of the Wiradjuri and Gamilaraay Language groups - the largest Aboriginal group's in NSW. These groups expanded from the Northern boarder of NSW to the Southern boarder of Victoria. As long as I can remember Art has always been a major love of mine. Over a period of 30 years I have practiced and developed it through publication, freelance, commissioned works. I have illustrated for ten years with an international publishing copany, produced multi productions for the less fortunate readers in the world.
During this time I realized the need to develop computer skills for graphic design, which led to successfully completing study for a BA in Graphic Designat Charles Sturt University - Wagga Wagga.
The past year I have developed marketing skills by producing artworks for regional Galleries and other outlets. I am currently creating Aboriginal conceptual abstract artworks inspired by working in remote communities in far north western New South Wales.
I see beauty in the land through colour; form, texture, through acknowledging cultural heritage. This defines who I am as an artist. Portraying the beauty of the land through orche and contempory colors, mediums, forms and conceptual insight, has broadened my outlook to deliver a sense of place and space in a exposed, controlled man made environment.
'Lord my God how majestic is your name in all the earth' - I am constantly reminded of my origin and the creator of all.
