I am from an Aboriginal community called Walhallow, which means “Place on a hill”
Enjoyed growing up in the rural areas with lots of nature to observe and learn lessons from.

When I finished high school in Quirindi I began an Apprenticeship as chef. Since then I have been working and traveling in the hospitality and art industries.

Tamworth is where my studio is based; most of my painting takes place there. Natural light guides my paint each morning.

I started painting in 1995 after helping an artist from Darwin paint murals in schools around Canberra. Visited art galleries in Sydney, then decided to go bush and develop my own style of art. Painting became addictive very quickly; my main force is to experience the day creatively with fresh paintings that have many combinations and possibilities to explore with paint.

I get lots of inspiration from travel, nature and Picasso paintings. The way Picasso balances his work with bold colors and communicates original ideas inspires me a lot.

The Work ethic of Dali is also amazing. Having an inspirational art teacher helps enormously as well, someone who can really open your eyes to the world.

My advice,” Become fanatical about being the best with your chosen medium, plus keep studying the quality artists who continually develop their style of art.
