Her other works are currently or have been featured in selected Cowra
and Orange galleries as well as Sydney galleries in Paddington and
Leichhardt.
Among Trisha’s many achievements include her design and installation of a mosaic entranceway to Orange’s Environmental Learning Facility seen following page, also available on their Website with Orange council. She is also responsible as part of a co-ordinated effort to paint and beautify the Cowra Bridge with Aboriginal inspired works. She is well travelled in Australia due to her qualifications in teaching arts and literacy within and beyond the Aboriginal community, presenting workshops and speaking in conferences around Australia based around indigenous arts.
Trisha has been an invaluable representative of her tribe and is now considered an Elder. She has spent her time (now retired) teaching the Aboriginal Culture program and Literacy for various high schools in her region. Trisha has also been the Cowra region’s representative on the Aboriginal Land Council involved in projects including water conservation and use with the Wyangala Dam and the Lachlan River. The River and its crossings were a traditionally important area for Wiradjuri and served as a trading post between tribes in times past.
She has worked with the Australian National University and New York colleges as a mentor and art program leader. Interestingly, she has also participated as lead singer of a Danggali tribe country rock band (also called Danggali) and recorded a number of albums some years ago which demanded live performances in and around the Tamworth area and reaped three country music awards from the Tamworth music festival she holds dear to her heart.
