Gabrielle Goodacre daughter of well known artist Jessie Goodacre, who
Currently lives in Tasmania who still exhibits both locally and in Melbourne.

In Gabrielle’s own words:- My search for the truth of who I am lead me to the wonderful world of painting. At 42 and after years of chronic depression struggling to find my worth and purpose in this world, I found art my saving grace.
Although being inspired by an incredibly artistic mother, I am mostly self taught
and prefer to let my own creativity flow without restrictions.
Abstract art is the one area where the perfectionist takes a back-seat and even
though I am a really a private person by nature; my love of texture, colour and form reveals something that would normally be hidden.
For me personally, painting is exposing my inner private world and when I put brush
to canvas my spirit is fully at peace.
I believe I have been very blessed along my journey, and have sold many works during my time in Melbourne before moving back to Coffs Harbour in 2007.
